GUITAR / SYNTHS / ENGINEERING
Eli Voss
One more change. Then I'll come to bed.
An old builder with a repaired guitar, unfinished ideas, and a reason to start again.
Eli used to lose whole Saturdays to making something work. Somewhere along the way, discovery became maintenance. The machines improved; the joy got harder to find. He is Night Ferry's guitarist, synth player and engineer, most at home with a stubborn circuit and enough time to understand it.
He lives in Uptown with his daughter Wren, whose questions interrupt his growing habit of letting a machine answer first. In the Impossible Room, working with I/O brings back a feeling he thought belonged to a younger version of himself. The new tools are a gift. That doesn't make every answer right.
Eli also carries responsibility for an old licensing decision that reaches further than the band understood. Rediscovering the craft means facing what he signed away, repairing trust, and learning when to take his hands off the controls and ask.
